Love, Laughter & Happy Ever After: A Little Update Post

I wanted to drop in with a post about the "goings-on" in the Smith household...

We don't have too much craziness going on at the moment, but somehow we always manage to stay busy. I'm still working what seems to be around the clock. Up at 4:45am every day to get ready and be at work by 6:30am...off at 3pm...hit the gym or do an Insanity DVD...pick up the boys...play, make dinner, bedtime, yada yada yada, clean the house and then hit the hay...of course remembering to set my alarm clock so I can do it all over again (at least 5 days a week). Seems a little mundane, doesn't it? But this is my life...this is our life...and it's worth it. I have actually decided that over the next few months I want to get more into photography. I love taking pictures and understand a lot about composing a photo and shutter settings, etc. and I have the graphic design skills for editing, so it would definitely be something I would love to do and hopefully others would think I'm good at. I'll see where it takes me, but for now, it's definitely a hobby/side gig I'd like to get into. I'm looking at some good digital SLR cameras and hopefully will get a new one within the next couple of months.

Jake has begun playing beach volleyball again...he goes out once or twice a week now. His shoulder has healed well since his surgery last August, so I know he's glad to be back out there.

Tanner is a little over a month away from graduating from Kindergarten - we made it! I'm a little nervous for first grade, but I know he'll do great. He's excited to spend a lot of time at the pool and beach this summer. We'll be putting him in soccer again in the fall.

Breckin is a force to be reckoned with. He trudges throughout the house with authority and gets into EVERYTHING. If it's breakable, it gets broken. We've learned pretty quickly not to leave things within his reach. We did get him tubes in his ears almost 2 months ago. It has been great though, no ear infections since. He's a happy little guy and will be so active this summer...we'll be outside A LOT if he has anything to do with it.

I've been doing alright...mostly spending my time with my boys, working out, blogging and seeing friends when I can. I've been tackling a lot of household projects that have been looming for years. You can always keep up with those things at [just had] A Bright Idea. I'm glad the warm weather is here...winter is always so blah for me.

Oh yeah, and I turned 29 two weeks ago...my 20s are quickly slipping away from me. But I have a feeling the 30s is going to be a great decade.
